Steps for Setting up a Payroll Group in hh2 Remote Payroll, This is done under the -> Remote Payroll Tab in the top menu.
1. Create the group in Group Setup (Left Menu ->Payroll Setup)
a. Specify a Name and Description (Create New Group Button)
b. Select the group manager(s)(Move over the Group Manager using the > button)
c. Select the group employee(s)(Select the Employees button)
d. Select the cost codes you want available to the group. Check the box to include all cost codes if you want the group to have access to all the codes. If not, select just the codes that you want the employees to have access to for every job.
e. Select the gl accounts you want available to the group. Check the box to include all gl accounts if you want the group to have access to all the gl accounts. If not, select just the gl accounts you want the employees to have access to.
f. Select the Departments you want available to the group. Check the box to include all Departments if you want the group to have access to all the gl accounts. If not, select just the Departments you want the employees to have access to.
g. Select the Certified Classes you want available to the group. Check the box to include all Certified Classes if you want the group to have access to all the gl accounts. If not, select just the Certified Classes you want the employees to have access to.
2. Setup the Approval Path for the group to determine how the time is to be approved.
a. If the approval path you want for the group is the same as the default group approval path, then you don’t need to do anything.
b. If the approval path you want is different than the default group approval path, then go to the custom group tab and create the new approval path as desired.
3. Setup Pay IDs for the Group
a. Go to the pay id setup tab and then select Pay ID Assignments. If the pay id groups that you want are already assigned to the default Payroll Group then you don’t need to do anything.
b. If the Pay ID Groups you want are different from the Pay ID Groups assigned to the default Payroll Group, then you need to assign the Pay ID Groups to the Payroll Groups in the Custom Group tab.
4. Setup Permissions
a. Make sure that the Users you assigned to be Group Managers have the Payroll Group Manager Role in their Site Roles in User Management.
b. Make sure that the employees you assigned to be Group Employees have the Payroll Employee Role in their Sites Roles in User Mangement if the employees are going to be entering their own time.
